I just got done riding and I'm still mentally on the trail. Single track, fast switchbacks, 6 foot drops, grueling uphills, a massive 10ft step-up (from bottom of tran to top), doubles, skinnies, a big popper that I crashed on and then back up for more single track.
That's the whole mountain biking spectrum and the bike does it all flawlessly. ZERO complaints. ZERO compromises. It just feels awesome. I haven't test-ridden other bikes like this (SC Nomad? Spclzd Endro?) but I have sold my downhill & XC bike because they're not being used anymore! And all the hype about "how rational & considerate the Transition owners are" is true. When they come over here to my side of Washington, I hope to buy them dinner. The design and company are that freaking fantastic. Whooa... Sorry for the novel...
Sorry about the crappy pic. They're Hayes Stroker Aces 185mm & 160mm. Yeah, I can't say enough about the sheer awesomeness of the Transition folks. I'm just a normal freeriding guy, but the owners emailed me personally to dial in the bike. As for the bike itself, I just got done riding and it's unbelievable. I've retyped and retyped an explanation about how phenomenal the bike handles, but trying one out is better than me typing. Damn!
The Bottlerocket is the greatest bike I have ever ridden. It took me two weeks to build and dial, and it was soooo worth it! About Us
